“A través de nosaltres” [Through Us] is the exhibition, result of the project “Descobrint la nostra identitat” [Discovering Our Identity] carried out with the 2nd ESO students of the San Alfonso María de Ligorio school between April and May 2024.

The search for one’s own identity, which is key in the adolescent stage, has been the guiding thread of the process. A selection of works from the Museum’s Collection served as the catalyst to connect with the students’ personal stories and experiences, their tastes, hobbies, conflicts, as well as their family origins and traditions. We have worked through the tools provided by the contemporary artistic creation, taking as a starting point an object with which they feel identified and deconstructing it into metaphors of their most personal selves.

The exhibition opens on June 6 at 6 p.m. at the Espai Educatiu Guillem Cifre de Colonya and can be visited during museum opening hours until June 20, 2024.

“Descobrint la nostra identitat” [Discovering Our Identity] is a proposal by Diana Juan, student in Social Education, developed jointly with the Education area of Es Baluard Museu and the teaching team of the San Alfonso María de Ligorio school.
