First collaboration between Es Baluard and the Menorca Festival of Cinema Mediterrani (MÈDIT) as an associate project and to continue the museum's support for independent groups committed to contemporary creation. Therefore, a workshop about script-writing techniques will be carried out on 21, 22 and 23 April as well as a screening of Mèdit shortfilms on 23 April at 8 pm.

First part:
Worksop “Writing in pictures. How to write my first screenplay”

An introduction to the screenplay. Examples and structures of film scripts will be presented through three sessions. The themes will be: presentation and ideas, literary script and shooting screenplay. At the end of the workshop, each student will write a screenplay for a short film.

Macià Florit Campins (Ciutadella de Menorca, 1990) is a film director. Graduated in Humanities and Masters in Documentary Film, he wrote and directed the short films Una habitació buida (2008), Plyushkin contra Diògenes (2013) and Carta a Nura (2014). In Catalonia, he's worked with the filmmakers Raimon Fransoy and Xavier Puig, from the independent production company Elsabeth. With them he has directed many cultural cultural television programs, music videos, documentaries and fiction films, among other genres. He's been recently made the interactive documentary Ariadne, directed by Gemma Rodríguez and produced by ILC and TV3. In Menorca, in addition to his work as a filmmaker, he collaborates with MÈDIT Film Festival as a teacher and as co-director of the project "Carrers que parlen" which aims to develop a catalog of oral memory in Ciutadella.

Second part:

21 April. 6 to 9 pm. Intermedi. Public Programmes. "Contemporary Narrative: evasion sequences in Mad Men"

A meeting organised by MÈDIT with Macià Florit Campins and Inés Garrell. The meeting will end with a screening of MEDIT shortfilms, a selection of the best films presented at the Menorca Film Festival. Reservations by emailing programesbaluard@gmail.com. Free entry.
