Artist biography
Pablo Picasso
Málaga, 1881 - Mougins, France, 1973

Pablo Picasso, considered one of the great masters of 20th-century art history, developed a vast artistic production which began with academicism and which flowed, after he moved to Paris in 1904, towards an exploration of the different movements that emerged over the past century, including Cubism, which he founded along with Georges Braque. The multiplicity of languages he resorted to – painting, sculpture, graphic work, ceramics, and even decoration and costumes for theatrical works and ballet – is the result of a vital question, the creative act as a path of knowledge of the human being and the world.
