A new chapter in which the curator Esmeralda Gómez-Galera interviews the artist Adrián Martínez, on the occasion of their exhibition ‘Que la cumbia suene más fuerte que los problemas’. We approach the work ‘The Family A’ by Marina Abramovic, included in the museum’s Collection and in the exhibition “Nachleben. Every Image Is a Potential Painting”. And finally, we recover a fragment of an interview between Guillem Frontera and Juli Ramis in which the painter talks about his beginnings in painting.

New chapter in which we get to know Markus Linnenbrink’s new exhibition at Es Baluard Museu and Casal Solleric, through a conversation between the artist and Jackie Herbst, curator of the project together with Fernando Gómez de la Cuesta. We introduce the Museum’s Collection artwork by Juan Uslé’s ‘Soñé que revelabas IV’ and recover a fragment of an interview with the Mallorcan figurative sculptor Remigia Caubet broadcast in 1978 on Radio Popular.

New chapter in which the museum’s director, David Barro, talks to the director of the Palma Dansa Festival, the dancer and choreographer Mar Aguiló. We get to know the work from the Collection “Esquisse pour les plongeurs (fond jaune) (1er état)” by Fernand Léger, which also suggests bodies in movement. And in the week of Sant Jordi, we recover a fragment of an interview that the professor Joan Miralles i Montserrat did with Josep Maria Llompart in 1980 in which he talks about readings and writers.

New chapter in which we get to know the exhibition ‘Airmail Paintings’ by Eugenio Dittborn through a conversation between its curator, the artist Patrick Hamilton, and the head of Exhibitions at Es Baluard Museu, Jackie Herbst. We discover the work of the Museum Collection ‘’Escena de la Guerra Civil española‘’ by Wilfredo Lam and, we recover a fragment of an interview that the professor Joan Miralles i Montserrat made to Blai Bonet in 1980 in which he talks about his relationship with Santiago Rusiñol.

New chapter in which the curator Raquel Victoria interviews the artist José Fiol, on the occasion of his exhibition ‘The Green Fog’. Elisa Braem presents the work from the Collection: her piece ‘Caja de luz’, included in ‘Nachleben. Painting as conceptual art’. And, we recover a fragment of the TVE programme ‘Art i Part’ dedicated to an exhibition on the De Stijl movement held at the COAIB in 1984.

We get to know the work of the Collection by Miriam Cahn ‘Hände hoch!’, which is also part of the exhibition ‘Nachleben. Painting as Conceptual Art’. And, to finish, we recover a fragment of an interview with Toni Catany, made in 1982 on Radio Popular.

Third chapter in which we interview the artist Laura González Cabrera, who has created a mural intervention at the Museum’s entrance linked to the exhibition ‘Nachleben. Painting as conceptual art’. We will explore one of the emblematic works in the Es Baluard Collection: ‘’Bodegón con frutero, botella y vaso‘’ by Maria Blanchard. And, to finish, we recover a story from 1984 dedicated to the exhibition ‘Deià 1934-1984: Cinquanta pintors, cinquanta anys’ broadcasted in the programme Art i Part of TVE Baleares.

In this second chapter we will listen to Jessica Stockholder talk about her exhibition ‘Cardinal Directions’ and her way of understanding art, in an interview conducted by Soad Houman, we will also delve into the work of Concha Jerez’s ‘Silencio’ included in Es Baluard’s Collection, and we will listen an extract from the programme ‘Tres, Catorze, Setze’ on TV3, broadcasted in 1990 entitled ‘Mallorca, terra de pintors’ (Mallorca, land of painters).

Es Baluard Podcast was created with the intention of becoming a key communication platform for the Museum and a tool for connecting with diverse audiences, from the youngest to the professional context. Through content such as interviews with leading figures from the world of art and culture, reports and chronicles of events, archival fragments, news, and reviews of works in the museum’s collection, the podcast aims to spread the Museum’s voice beyond its walls and borders.

In addition, Es Baluard Museu and the Consell de Mallorca have signed an agreement to promote the dissemination of the island’s sound and audiovisual heritage. The collaboration is through the Arxiu del So i de la Imatge de Mallorca (ASIM), which provides content to be broadcast on the Es Baluard Museu Podcast.
