A total of 1,323 people visited yesterday Es Baluard (above) during the opening of Rafel Joan. Paintings 1983-2013″, an exhibition curated by Enrique Juncosa that will be open until through June 15, 2014. During the opening an exclusive visit to Amics d’Es Baluard was carried out by the artist and the curator as well as a Pere Joan and Betta Esplenders concert.
“Rafel Joan. Paintings 1983-2013” is produced by Es Baluard and Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics, which also has published a catalog in Catalan, Spanish, English and French featuring texts by Nekane Aramburu, Miquel Barceló, Antoni Bauçà, Enrique Juncosa, José Carlos Llop, Arnau Pons, Antoni Vera, Andreu Vidal and Agustí Villaronga that can be purchased, among other places, in the Es Baluard store.
Regarding this exhibition, Es Baluard helds on May 17 at 11 am the workshop for families “Dalt baix / Baix dalt” and a talk with Biel Mesquida and Enrique Juncosa on May 21 at 7 pm.
