“Que la cumbia suene más fuerte que los problemas” is the title of the first solo exhibition by artist Adrián Martínez (Eivissa, 1984) at Es Baluard Museu. Martínez uses local materials, such as dyed local wool, to explore their narrative capacity and rethink painting’s place, inviting us to reflect on the paradoxes and frustrations of artistic practice. The publication features contributions from Esmeralda Gómez Galera, the exhibition’s curator, and Chus Martínez, as well as a selection of images of the works and the exhibition itself.
