The director of Biblioteca Nacional and the Alderman of Culture open officially ‘Otras Miradas’

Es Baluard opened this morning officially the exhibition “Otras Miradas: Biblioteca Nacional de España” with works by Norah and Jorge Luis Borges. The event was attended by the director of BNE, Glòria Perez-Salmeron, and the Alderman of Culture and Sports of the Palma City Hall and a member of the museum’s Board, Fernando Gilet.

Es Baluard is the only museum in the Balearics participating state project  “Otras Miradas. Biblioteca Nacional de España”. Specifically, the museum displays a painting by Norah Borges and a postcard written by her and her brother, Jorge Luis Borges, sent in 1920. The two brothers spent part of his Spanish years (1919-1921) in Mallorca.
