To commemorate International Museum Day and closing the programme «Família! El dissabte va d’art» (2025-2026) we propose a family activity, aimed at adults and children, which will allow you to enter the exhibition “Jannis Kounellis. Labyrinth without walls” and connect it with the participatory installation “El Laberint” of the Itinerània company.

“El Laberint” (The Labyrinth) is an unusual network of transparent walls and corridors flanked by mechanical doors, where what you know and what you do will create your own path. A large-format participative installation that has challenged the curiosity and ingenuity of the public in some twenty countries on three continents and that we will be lucky enough to be able to enjoy at Es Baluard Museum.

Itinerània is a Street Arts company that designs and builds interactive works for family audiences since 2006. Furti Coromina (Catalunya, 1977) and Paco Hernández (Canarias, 1975) make up the creative tandem that, together with their team, work in artistic disciplines such as participatory installations, fairground attractions or object manipulation theatre.

The theme of the International Museum Day 2026, “Museums uniting a dividided world“, finds in the metaphor of the labyrinth a perfect representation of our current reality. Museums act as a meeting space, and from Es Baluard Museu we invite you to enter the labyrinth with curiosity, transforming the bewilderment of the divided world into the harmony of a collective discovery.
